With its witty script and excellent variety of youth culture, rock, pop and contemporary opera songs, LOST will reverberate with both the young and old alike.
Exploring the themes of drugs, fame, relationships, family and reconciliation, LOST focuses in on a young girl’s search for acceptance and identity. Most people have a deep desire inside of them to be accepted for who they are, and this is indeed true of Natalie, LOST’s protagonist. Natalie, a bit of a teenage rebel, is about turn 18 and can’t wait to get away from everything that’s tying her down. After a fiery argument with her parents she turns her back on her mundane life in Coventry and moves to London where she follows her dream of becoming a famous singer.
There she meets the man of her dreams, James - who just happens to be a music producer – much to the chagrin of her personal Angel (there to guide her as best she can throughout the duration of the show). They get to work on her first song, which is a huge Number One hit, and Natalie’s life seems perfect as she lives out her dream in London – yet there seems to be a dark secret lurking in James’ life.
LOST goes on to explore Natalie and James’ journey - a journey full of intrigue, surprise and tragedy. LOST is a modern-day musical adaptation of the Parable of the Prodigal Son (The Bible - Luke 15).
